Jonas Hauptman Bio
As an artist, academic, design practitioner and entrepreneur, Jonas Hauptman's projects tend to engage issues of ethics, environment and design. This exploration has specifically focused on developing things in the genres of product, furniture, architecture and material composites.
Hauptman is Design Director of Hauptman Products Inc. (HPI), a design and manufacturing company founded in 2002, which focuses on applying material and ecological design research towards the built environment. Through geometric innovation and material invention, he has been producing work that has reached into the fields of computational geometry, composites engineering, architecture, design, forest products, and environmental protection. HPI's projects and products have been exhibited, published and sold internationally.
His academic training in the Fine Arts includes an MFA in Metalsmithing from Cranbrook Acadamy of Art (2000), and a BFA in Sculpture from Rhode Island School of Design (1994). Since 2000, He has lectured and taught course work at a variety of national art and design institutions. He is currently a lecturer on the faculty of the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Dr. Garret Hauptman, CEO, is a board certified doctor of chiropractic medicine and
leading traction researcher. Complementing his professional practice, he has been testing
ergonomics in medical equipment and furniture for over 5 years. Dr. Hauptman is also
co-developer of Safetrack 2000, a chiropractic apparatus used adjunctively with spinal
manipulation and postural exercises to restore normal spinal structure.
